Travis Maclay, MA
Director of Operations
Assistant Professor, Organizational Leadership and Worship Studies
For over twenty years, Travis Maclay has been leading God’s people in church ministry. Travis came to CBU in 2017 to oversee the day-to-day operations in the School of Music and to teach in the School's Worship Studies degree program. Prior to coming to CBU, Travis served as Operations Pastor at Bannockburn Church in Austin, Texas. In his role at the church, he led the operational team - including budget and finance, communications, public relations, information systems and campus facilities. He has also served pastorally at churches in Kansas, Tennessee and Florida.
For his undergrad, he pursued a Music Business degree at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He later earned his Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University. Travis will begin his Ph.D. studies in Leadership Studies at California Baptist University in May 2019.
Travis was raised in a Christian home, realized his need for Christ and surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of nine. He was very active in church throughout his teenage years and his love for communications and reaching people with the Gospel began in high school. Travis surrendered to the ministry in the eleventh grade and God has given him wonderful opportunities to share the Gospel all around the world.
Travis and his wife, Mandy, were married in 2005 and have three daughters. Their family's passion is to invest in others and to encourage and train God’s people in taking the unchanging Gospel to an ever-changing world.
