Minor in Worship Arts and Ministry
In the modern church, there is a significant need for qualified worship leaders who are musically and spiritually prepared to lead God’s people in worship on a weekly basis. In fact, this need far exceeds the ability of full-time career worship leaders/pastors to meet. Not only do churches need high-capacity volunteers who can lead worship consistently and with excellence, but many churches also employ part-time worship leaders, who have additional full-time careers in other disciplines.
To facilitate this need, the Collinsworth School offers a Minor in Worship Arts and Ministry. As a complement to our BA in Worship Arts and Ministry, which is designed to prepare full-time career worship pastors and worship leaders for ministry in the church, our Minor in Worship Arts and Ministry is designed to prepare future part-time or volunteer worship leaders for successful worship ministry. With courses in music theory and musicianship, worship technology, worship leadership, church ministry, and theology, this 23-unit minor is an excellent choice for non-career worship leaders who desire to be high-capacity contributors to their church worship ministries.
Like the Minor in Music, the Minor in Worship Arts and Ministry is an accessible complement to any other major and can be added at any time during your tenure at CBU.
